Oil dampers can be found in many applications whereby a controlled motion of the application is required without using external air or hydraulic equipment.

An oil damper consists of multiple seals, rod, piston and a cylinder filled with oil and available in stroke and extended lengths similar as to compression springs.

Compression or extension speed can be influenced by using different orifices and oil viscosities.

Oil dampers are available in 3 damping directions:

• C: Damping in compression

• E: Damping in extension

• B: Damping in both directions

• H: Horizontal in use
